so i just picked up another Sc400 (1995) and i noticed the gas pedal is stiff and wont down shift like it should when i floor it and shifting from first to second gear is kind of a hard shift.
the brake pedal is super sensitive and im not sure if there would be somthing i adjust next to the pedals for either problem. tried search and nothing really came up so no flaming please

You might have air in your brakes or sticky calipers. On my car, when I had sticky calipers, I could just barely touch the brakes and my car would stop on a dime. Unfortunaly, the brakes also wouldn't release and caused them to smoke. As for the shifting problem, check your tranny fluid, might be time for a change.
