We curently build race engine harnesses & harness/ecu/obd conversion harnesses at my shop. My car has been running for years & since the motor is out I figured why not go ahead & do it.

Just wanted to see how everyone else does something in this chassis as most of what we deal with harness wise is nissan & hondas.

Thanks for any help fellas

Not hating at all, but why are you doing a wire tuck on a race car? I'd love to see a tucked bay on a SC. Although I've had my hand in a lot of cars over the years, and a wire tuck when you are trying to diagnosis an electrical issues is a pain in the ***.

I too would like to see pics if any are available, a really clean SC bay would be NICE. Now practical as well as functional, not so much, but in a race car probably wouldn't matter considering the amount of work that goes into a race car, and fixing wiring issues are probably right up the shop's alley. Switch directions for a second...TougeSC3 does bring up a very valid point. Diagnosis of any electrical problems. Either way, I wish you all the best should you go this route.

Route it through the frame rail(s) in the bay if you really want to hide it; Very common amongst the VW guys that shave their bays.

Plenty of room in them. A bit of a hassle to diagnose anything but it comes with the territory.

make sure you use the same gauge "primary automotive wire". solder everything, use good quality heat strink tubing, double up on pwer wires for heat strink, make sure wires are wireloomed and secure not just black tapped. on sc's they need to be relocated on top of the framerail under the fender. i recently completed a semi tuck but dont have pix at the moment

btw, delete all of this stuff and you will have nothing to cause problems.
-Complete Hvac
-Windshield Wipers
-Horn
-Fog Lights
-Side markers
-Hood Security, latch sensor and emergency horn
-ABS Removal
-Trac Removal
-Low Brake Fluid Sensor
-Windshield sprayer system
-remove charcoal canister
-Remove Fuel Pump ECU and Wiring
-remove am/fm antennas
-delete stock ps cooler and replace with derale
-slim electric radiator fans
--wire loom wiring harness and run where wipers were
-air bag system
-delete 6 disc cd changer and do 6 disc fuse box

When relocating fuse box if you do, make sure not to cut any wires right away. Take photos if you are worried you would forget something, trace wires to connectors and disconnect the connectors you should be able to pull the hole fuse box harness out as one. The photos i posted below show all the fiund and what it would look like if you kept a few things or went all out. Hopefully all of this can set you up with a good direction. Also send me a pm in you have any other questions or need some help, i have the complete sc300 wiring diagram.

- Chris

originally there is already parts of the harness on the bottom side of the framerail right above the tire. you want to tuck it on top of the framerail in between the rail and right under the fender or better yet go thru that rail so you wont have to worry about a blowout tearing into wires.
