My Soarer down in Canada
Hi there, I've had my Soarer for around 2 years and have been checking this forum almost daily since I got my car, I'm apart of a few other Soarer forums and just never registered on this one as you have to have an American zip code, I finally broke down and used one from Ohio...SHHHH!. I'm down in Edmonton Canada and must say I LOVE this forum!!. I've had a ton of inspiration and great ideas from you guys and would like to share my beast with all of you.
A bit about my Soarer
(Car was basically bone stock except for the wheels and tires)
1JZ-GTE twin turbo
5 speed manual
Factory pearl white
19" deep dish Niche rims in the back with 275s (no rubbing)
18" in the front with 245s (no rubbing)
Offsets are unknown as I got them with the car but they are 100% problem free
Here are some pictures when I first got it
I only get to drive my car for about 4-5 months out of the season, every other month is dreadful snow, I do not drive it in the winter, some of these pictures are when I was taking it out of hybernanation, these are before I lowered it
Interior shot in mid winter, I just opened the door and snapped a quick shot
From behind
What I have done
GReddy front mount intercooler
Megan LP-series coilovers
Blinky dash fix
Headlight restoration
Woodgrain interior restoration
5Zigen fireball mega exhaust (On route)
Either JIC or Version select body kit (Can't decide between the two, have seen both on this forum and can't make up my mind)
6000K HID conversion (On route)
Will be painting Lexus's Graphite Grey Pearl (1C6) once kit is fitted
The car is tucked away for the winter as we speak, I unfortunately don't have any pictures of it after I've dropped it, but here are some pictures of what I do have
Megan LP-series coilovers
Front Mount Intercooler
My HKS SSQV 3 BOV
This is the color I've decided to go with after I make up my mind on which body kit to go with
Sorry for the annoyingly big few pictures there, not sure how to fix it :S
That's about it for now, over the winter I will be continuing to work on it and will have more pictures of progress as I go, hope you all like it

There's a bunch of us on here from Canada, I dont remember having to pretend I'm in the US?
Nice Soarer though, lotsa members on here are jealous that us Canadians have more lenient import rules and we get to play with better cars

That is a nice car man. I actually like the wheels, but I am a chrome type guy. Where did you get the BOV by HKS? I need one now! I know you wish you could drive the SC more, very clean ride....

I am actually still trying to track down the cars previous history, the last Canadian owner, he imported it himself and worked out of town all the time, bought these nice rims and the car sat for a year and he decided to sell it, he spent about $4000 on the rims and rubber and didn't even put 5000K on the car, however, he was not able to tell me whether it was a swap or OEM, as well as I want to do a manual transmission flush in the spring and need to figure out if I have a R154 or W58.
When I registered on the site it didn't allow me to put a Canadian zip code so I just threw in an Ohio one is what I was saying before as well.
The blow off valve I got an amazing deal on, another guy in Edmonton here paid like $350 to have it come from Japan and decided he didn't want it and I bought it off him for $200 brand new uninstalled, TOTALLY WORTH IT, sounds really really good, I'm very happy with it.

my soarer has a tag on the passenger side when you open the hood, right by the fender up by the firewall it tells you motor, tranny color ect. if its original 5 speed it should say r-154 on there

I could have sworn we were 'up' in Canada. Haha.
Looking at the vin tag by the right shock tower, it will say r154, or whatever the # of the autobox is. Should be clear either way.
