Angry Door handle won't open from inside? plastic clip broken

Hi Guys,

I've had my door handle broken for a while now and today had some time to fix it. (I have to roll the window down and open it from the outside to get out of my car every single time!!!!) It get's really annoying. Anywho I took my door panel apart and the plastic clip (BLUE) that holds the cable to the door is broken. I had this problem with my passanger door before but it was the other way around I counld'nt open the door from the outside. I was able to find the little plastic piece and fix that issue, however this time its a different part. IDK if Ican buy a new blue plastic piece or if I have to buy a new drivers side door handle cable??? Any info would be great!!!

I've already tried smoothing out the blue pice of plactic that is left at the end of the cable to see if it will clip it where it was suppose to but I still have had no luck =/

I hope at least If I buy a new cable from lexus or toyota it will come with a new blue connector end on

It's a one piece on Sewell Lexus; I've had a similar issue before but I lucked up and found a junkyard with a SC300 in it.

Wow, I hope that somewhere just the cable can be purchased. I have the exact same problem and I'm not interested in paying $350 for the entire assembly. Good luck on your broken cable.

Follow the advice above. Also, DO NOT roll down the window on the affected door until you get it fixed. That clip holds in place a metal arm that is part of your lock solenoid assembly. Sometimes the loose/free arm can become broken by the window descending in it's track.

This happened to me and I had to tear apart the whole door and replace the lock solenoid assembly-- you definitelt want to avoid this pita.

Don't touch the window button right now.

Good luck.

Ive been having the same problem. I try to look for the blue cable alone but no luck. So I bought the actuator for 60 bucks from aliga. It work like new again. He's a vender on here. You should ask him if he has any in stock good luck
