New Member - 1996 Toyota Soarer GT-T (Canadian Resident)
Hey guys new member, happy to join the community. Im new to the scene and can now say that I own a nice and well respected vehicle with tremendous potential!
Im a canadian resident so we have access to the JDM !
Just recently purchased a 1996 Toyota Soarer GT-T through auction portal.
Zenautoworks.ca (importer)
http://www.braveautointernational.jp (exporter)
They are amongst or if not the best around for JDM's, i have been doing my research for years and in october is when i decided to indulge into my dream car and I found it!
I dont have the car yet, its currently being shipped from Nagoya Japan but it arrives at the port in vancouver on Jan 11th and should be in my hands late January.
It was a 4 grade vehicle with a B interior.
There is alot of shady importers in Canada and quality is a big factor. I had the option to pick the vehicle I wanted and have it overlooked and inspected by Mark @ Braveauto. Obviously there is a premium associated with this but I think its well justified as I've heard too many bad experiences and stories with imported cars.
You can also see my car @ http://zenautoworks.ca/index.php?opt...=detail&id=127
I have big plans for the car and will spending a fair bit of money but I go into this knowing its not an investment but just a hobby and I don't plan on selling this car for a long long time!
Cheers!

I am in Calgary not a far drive! When spring rolls around and I get the car setup we will definitely meet up man! I could use some pointers and some extra knowledge in the car because I have no idea what im doing as of yet. Everything is new to me lol.
I cant wait to get the car, the only thing that stumps me is the rim/tire package and knowing what the biggest tire i can fit on the car without having to roll out fenders etc. And also if you knew any good mechanics/tuners in the area where I can get some serious work done to the car!

Thanks guys, I have very very big plans for the car! headwork & cams, exhaust, intake, power fc, clutch, timing belt, pulleys, single turbo (400whp ish) gages, rims , coilovers, hks ssqv fmic etc too much to name... my goal is to reach around 4-450whp on the r154 i just hope she holds up thats all. Its kind of weird buying a car off an inspection sheet and two pictures! there is always surprises but it should be fun cant wait!!!

Yeah it is a factory 5spd which is rare and even more rare that its red. Thats what I was told by Mark @ braveauto. And to add to that there was 2 exact identical 4 grade red 5spd oem up for sale in the EXACT same auction house haha. The other was a 1994 gt-t with 78 000 kms and was up for bid before this one which i passed on and it sold for more then the 1996 ... whoever bought it must have been shaking there head!!
