can someone verify for me that my 1994 sc400 has GLASS high beam headlights and NOT plastic??? i have nipples on them and they look like glass, but i could be wrong??

did they make glass and plastic for that year??

 

94s have plastic high beams

 

honestly you can knock on them and tell if they are plastic or glass

yea man just tap on them its easy to tell, my 93's are plastic.

 

Glass in mine.

 

1. Park your SC.
2. Stand 10 feet away from your car, facing the front end.
3. Compare the color between lenses of low beam headlight and that of high beam's.

If high beam lenses are significantly more cleaner/clear compared to low beam lenses, then you have glass lenses. If they're about the same yellow/discolored shade, you have plastic lenses.

Unless somehow high beams are altered on your 94 SC, you should have plastic lenses. Only at model year 95 did Lexus upgraded the lenses to glass.
