Default How about... the worst (driveable) SCX00 you've ever seen?

I've seen this SC4 near my friend's place a few times (in different spots), so apparently it moves under its own power. I like the professional body work with 4 shades of green, and the wood sign spike to keep the window up. Interior was trashed, with missing radio and climate controls. The other side was just as bad. I apologize if this is a member here, but I felt compelled to take a photo.

I can understand driving a car until the wheels fall off, but it's sad to see it happen to what was once a $45k+ vehicle. Some other folks in an earlier post were curious as to why these cars don't hold their value as well as they should/could (on average). Here's a good reason Cheers!

How about... No.

These type of thread tends to attract negative comments quickly and gets locked. Now, if there was a thread about the nicest SC people have seen, that would bring the spirit of the community up.

I think you have to remember that the car is at LEAST 17 years old.. most people view the car as a means of transportation and that's it. It's not a collectors item and to most people, it's just a mode of transportation.

QFT - what most of the ppl on this site need to remember, yes its a lexus, but its not a Lexus of the year. I never understood how some could be so ecstatic about owning a 10-20yr old lexus.

I personally have never owned a used car. All my other cars were brand new.

Why did I pick up a 20 year old car?

I got tired of trying to make new cars do something they weren't meant to do.
The JZ series of motors can do things that my DOHC Modular 4.6 , LSx, and VQ all can't do without mega dollars. (Some would argue the LSx can, but without boost, NOOOO WAYYY)

I give this old beast all the same time and attention the others do (or did)

I have read worse on other threads. Lets keep the comments clean and it will remain open.

My 1995 SC400 with 348K on it looks worse than this. It still runs and I drive it everyday to work and back. I got curious last night about the book value, since the other threads started my curiosity, and my second SC is only worth -147. Yes you read this right, only -147 to an individual.

^^ 348k is a lot but you've seen my white one 341k on it. Sometimes they make it, sometimes they don't.

yeah this thing wont rev past 4k, the driveshaft feels a bit loose, and it floats like my grandaddys bass boat. The struts are shot and they clunk. It is still dependable and like the feel and smell of the Lexus interior. I guess I need to post a picture of it on its worst side.. I am hoping I get maybe 425K out of it. It dont burn oil, but leaks it aorund the valve covers too.
