Problem is... I doubt ordering some lips is a priority for any dealerships... especially ones for a car that has been long out of production, and one that might not even sell. You say people will buy them but I call bs on that. I mean only one fellow member signed up for this. That's just sad. And nobody complained about the shipping time, it's all about the price.

Funny how people want this lip so bad and say that they would buy one if they had the chance and once the chance comes everyone walks.

Any estimate on what additional shipping to Canada would add to the cost? Would it be best to PM Carson, or email Luis at Carson directly to find out?

This is an excellent price! I'd love to get one, but my car sits too low without a lip.

How durable are these lips anyway?

That's exactly why I contacted Luis way back at around November or December of last year. You come here and everyone raves about this lip, I figured at that price it will sell like hot cakes. From the looks of things, it's just empty forum talk.

I knew from the beginning this was going to be a tough task. It's been this way for the 4 years I have been here. Problem is a lot of SC owners are getting younger and younger, which means not wanting to spend very much money on things. Everyone is looking for the best bang for your buck, and unfortunately over 500 plus for a lip that could break if it is a DD SC is just not going to work for most people on here.

That's why I had to work my butt off to get someone to make a lip very similar out of poly and even that didn't sell as much as I thought. It's unfortunate but on the flip side if you do get it you have the piece of mind that you will be in rare company.

You think we can organize a mini group buy on this? Maybe it can ease our cost...

Alot of people buy like I do, on impulse. I can tell you if it was readily available I would probably go ahead and buy it. I don't like waiting for things.

What's a couple lips to Carson Toyota? It's a big dealership I'm assuming and if it's anything like the dealers here, it's nothing.

Just saying. Hope this goes through for you guys!

^ Thats true but also to a business its not worth it, its basically a hook up. It all comes to basic economic principles. Profit is marginal and demand is low at such low supply of a highly elastic product, if I were a financial adviser I'd advice against it all together. They're making the right move.
