Default Hihopes SC

So I created an account on here with hopes of learning about the sc300 and eventually getting one. That time has come and i purchased my sc for $3600 today with 174,000 on it. Im the 4th owner according to carfax, and the car was hit back in 04. It needs some love right now, its got an exhaust leak and someone must have ****ed up the amp or something because once the radio goes on theres a really annoying buzzing . I know im going to be spending a lot to get this baby running mint, but itll all be worth it

I know, i know, you guys like pics, but i only have one for now. ill take more tomorrow

heres the cl ad for some more pics, although im not sure how much longer itll be up:

who ever owned the car before me changed the headunit to an aftermarket double din with a cassette player, which i hate. They also unplugged the CD changer -_______- and theres an amp in the trunk. I wonder what they messed up that its buzzing like this.

Welcome to CL. If you have the stock headunit, buy another factory amp wether its nak or pioneer, and see if it workds along with the changer.. GL with your modding, and again welcome to CL!!

Probably because the spare tire is out of the trunk. Or maybe we are so used to seeing lowered and slammed SCs here that we all forgot how high they are in stock form.

its a pioneer headunit, its pretty confusing and theres no remote. cant figure out how to change the song with cds, my cassette player wasnt working correctly with the ipod wire coming out, and this freakin buzzing is killing me. as for the amp, i thiiiink its a pioneer, but im not positive, ill check in the morning.

for the buzzing.. basically as the rpms go up, the buzzing goes up as well. its there as soon as i turn on the headunit and shuts off when the system is off. also, its there when im listening to cds or listening to the radio. if any of you know what it could be that would be awesome. or if anybody knows anything about this headunit & if theres another way to get a remote...

Nvm about the headunit, i found the manual online and ordered a remote
