SC's are death traps in the rain?

They're terrifying in the rain.
Here a video of my grandmother trying to park my car in a Walmart parking lot after it had drizzled for a few minutes.

Couldn't help myself, stolen from a recent thread

Ive yet to drive my sc in the rain/wet, but id imagine if I could handle my mustang in the snow, which had 4.10 gears among other go fast parts, a stock sc with less power shouldnt be a problem

fliaz, I did a roadtrip to visit my sister in MI a few months ago. They had crazy snow, and the news was showing people going sideways, frontways, backways and all ways in between (looked like one of those world''s craziest videos)! I'm happy to report that with some judicious use of throttle and good tires she never really broke out too much- just enough to make me check my shorts... <GRIN>

Another problem you can experience with an Sc, is hydroplaning had this happen to me one rainy day because of bad tread wear/alignment.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but even if you have bad alignment/tires/suspension whatever there is a way you can avoid hydroplaning. By releasing your foot off the gas and trying to steer straight until you feel full control again then you can start putting the engine to work again. A lot of people hydroplane because they already see the puddle of water and they still speed up! Your tires loose traction when they hit water, they literally "float" on top of water at a speedy impact. When you release your gas, your wheels slow down relatively and start to "sink" in water and gain back traction. In the end, it is still human error, wether they're unaware what is the science behind it or not fully understanding the reason of hydroplaning, everyone still knows its slippery when wet, so just slow down. I call it common sense.
