SC's are death traps in the rain?

High horsepower.
Low profile tires.
Wide tires.
RWD.
Lack of traction control.
All contribute to poor rain handling. I don't think these cars really have many of these factors in stock form. I actually think it's very driveable. The lack of LSD also lets one wheel unload without throwing you sideways. The largest contributor I feel is tires. Throw a different tire on an SC and it is very good in the rain.
My daily driver Trailblazer SS AWD with 275 wide summer tires all around is worse. I won't even compare my Z with R-comps and a 9 pound flywheel.

I am scared as **** driving in the rain with my SC. I spun out twice and hydroplane so much driving my SC. One time i spun out on the freeway but luckily it was at 3am. I just have to be extra careful and take out my moms car anytime I get a chance when it is raining.

Similar rain handling to my 5 series BMW, not as agile as my AMG was, hydroplanes less than my 2011 Honda CR-V. It is a rear wheel drive car so, if you lived your whole life on FWD cars, stick to those or get an AWD.
If you are going to keep it, seriously consider replacing all of the bushings and other maintenance items not handled by the previous owner(s).

If you're not smart enough to get a proper alignment and keep good tires on the car you will wreck. I have boost, low profile tires, and slammed. Never had an issue in the rain. I will even get on it just for fun and light it up in 3rd gear(nothing a skilled driver can't do).
You could also be not so skilled and do this.

i dont think the sc is bad in rain, just bad drivers. if you take it easy in bad weather you're less likey to lose control and get in an accident. like when it snows i take my time and drive slow and theres always that 1 person that flies past me like the streets are dry when they are covered in ice. these are the type people that will spin out and hit a parked car and go around saying "my car sucks in snow"

Never had a problem driving in a rainy weather or wet pavement.
After watching this video, 2 things
1Most slippery time of the day when it just starts raining, most experienced drivers know that dust oil and a small amount of rain become very very dangerous conditions. (driver error)
2 on the other hand it looks like he just wanted to run him off the road just because it was a pontiac lol, that thing went in 1000 different pieces

I 2nd 3rd and 4th that you want GOOD tires on them.I first got my SC with bad tires and the first time it rained the car would literally drift to the other lane at 70mph.New tires and alignment fixed that.BTW what's the hurry in the rain?Everyone here drives slower when it rains
