lexus navigation swap
hi fellow sc owner in was wondering if it were possible the use a factory navigation system from another lexus model like the ls and put it into the sc. thanks in advance for the help

Would be pretty nice to have a nice stock navi. Something like the IS have. Something cool that flips out from the dash. I dont know if it can be done or not. If you got enough $ than anything can be done.

It would take lots of $$$ but im pretty sure it could be possible. the ones from the GS or LS probably, the thing with the IS one is that the only place I could imagine to use, would be on top of the a/c controls, but that would be too much trouble.

has anyone tried installing a factory navigation system from another lexus in there sc? would it be able to fit in the spot of ours head unit or be to big? and in terms of wiring would the average person be able to do it or would it have to done by a professional?

I would think it would take a bit more work than that. You would need the DVD and the unit for the DVD that connects to the navi. I think you need a antenna too. So unless you have some knowledge about wiring I dont know if it can be done. I doubt its plug and play. You probably have to get wiring diagrams for the SC and try and figure out what goes where. Unless you're willing to spend some moajor cash it doesnt really sound very cost effective. Would be a nice set up tho.
