I have always felt that the Lexus SC was a beautiful car even though it is considered dated compared to modern luxury cars. I love all cars, but I always clearly remember the first time I saw an SC, because there was just something so cool about it. Not many cars leave me very lasting impressions, especially cars marketed towards older people that want luxury.

I was at a drag boat race putting around on mini/pit bikes with my dad to go check and see when he was supposed to head to the launch ramp and make his pass. On the way back, we saw a 1992 Garnet Pearl car sitting the pits of one of the wealthier racers. My dad wanted to stop too, he doesn't care about cars but for some reason had a thing for the SC.
I loved the body line down the middle, and especially the 4 lights up front..... it just seemed ahead of its time to me. This was probably in late 1991, I was only 8 or 9 years old. I remember my dad saying the sticker price on the car was something like $60k.
I had never heard of a car costing that much, and couldn't believe someone had enough money to own one. I never forgot it, and always wanted one.
Once the price came down, the dream finally became a reality....my dad even went through a couple of them. He only got rid of the last one after a firetruck smashed his quarter panel while he was parked in a stall.

I don't remember when the Auto Couture kit came out, but once I saw this, it was game over.........
everytime I see this pic it really brings me back to the past. I feel this car really has some presence, especially 20 years later.
