Well,
Something hit my passenger side mirror and broke a chunk out of the outside case. I've seen threads where guys have taken the mirror apart to fix the hinge. I'm assuming I could get a used mirror and just paint and exchange the case. A new mirror is 500.00 and everything in mine still works fine.
What do you guys think would be the best solution to the problem.
Thanks,
Shane

If your insurance can cover it - I would order a brand new mirror as the mirror from Lexus/Toyota come factory painted.
No need to worry about painting and possibly having color miss-match going with having it painted route. Is one reason why they are factory painted because it's hard to paint by hand because of the shape.
A while ago, someone broke off my mom's 99 Camry's mirror and case because the individual did not pay attention and opened the door while my mom was backing out from a parking spot. Person admitted fault and gotten the brand new mirror from Toyota.
