Does Toytoa just eventually recycle their designs after new models come out?
Has anyone seen the interior on a camry solara? It has quite a resemblance to the SC interior. It seems the old SC design is out, so the solara came around and put the interior into the solara. ESPECIALLY the wood trim piece. Here are some pics..
Next thing, there will be a 2 door "GS" car under the toyota badge, with the old (current) style GS interior when the new GS comes out..

some say the exterior resembles the SC also...
to me, it's similiar to strategy used by Nike on their basketball shoes.
They have a expensive top of the line model (ie: Flightposite, GP glove). and then later on, they developed a cheaper version imitation (Aintposite, son of glove) of the same shoe to those who dreamed of having the expensive model but can now finally afford a look a like.
I hate those imitation shoes,,, maybe that'll give u an idea what i think of the solara

Lvangundy, oh, I have no problem with my car being a toyota. just like the flightposite is still a pair of nike's with swoosh on it.
it's the car (shoe) itself that i'd have a problem with...

They should just quit wasting time making up new cars and reintroduce the SC as a Toyota with cheaper stuff standard, and make the 2JZ-GTE available with a 6-Speed
