Post a pic when you get a chance please.

Last summer I also bought the vinyl carbon fiber from ebay - fixed my pillars much quicker than painting. It's harder to do a quality paint on them because the window trim is one piece rather than a removable panel. The fit is pretty good and it doesn't really stand out on an otherwise all-black car.

I have the CF stick-on currently (the body shop threw it on).

So, the "new" Pillars product is real thin now? What is the prep and is a it a "peel and stick" application?

The CF looks okay and is a thin stick-on but really wanted a gloss black like the original plastic pillars. The pictures you took appear almost as a flat black - is that misleading? I think the high gloss black is the best look..

Yes much thinner then in the pic here where it is compared to nickels and an iPod. Its like heavy electrical tape. Actually seems perfect for an intermediate fix. Mine is certainly "flatish" black tho. Just like my original pillars. I'm really happy with them.

Looks pretty good, although I'm sure you could sand it down and re-clear them!

Yes, paint is next. When this looks imperfect, I won't re-do it. I will sand, paint next. This will pull some paint off during removal anyway.
