properly driven is the SC300 faster or slower than a properly driven SC400 (92-95) both STOCK??? I have seen 0-60 times for both cars, but one of my older Autoweek magazines tested both and said that they got a 0-60 time for the SC300 of 7.0 secs and for the SC400 7.2 secs. I plan on purcahsing either a 5 speed sc300 or a 92-95 sc400 and putting on the regular simple mods such as intake, exhaust, etc. I know I will never ever put in a supercharger or turbo. So which one of the cars is faster properly driven stock and mildly modified equally ??? Not trying to start a flame war, just want opinions, facts, etc. to help me decide on which car. PS. I can drive very well with a 5 speed, been driving it since I was 16. I like auto too, especially when I am lazy so it does not really matter, just want which one is faster. Thanks for any info.

the SC300 from my experience is faster... but only the 5-speed...

and its only slightly faster...

I ran Abutler's car from 0-120mph; he has intake, axle-back exhaust, ECU upgrade, and a couple other things...
i've got an intake and catback...

I pulled about 1.5-2 cars on him from 0-80 and then stopped pulling and he slowly started inching up on me; and pulled past me past 100mph... i bogged on the launch REALLY bad... if i had really launched; i would have pulled about 1 car on him from the start...

he has a faster car on top-end but i'd still win the 1/4

and thats the fastest SC4 i've ever run; the rest of them i tore up pretty bad; including one on a roll over 100mph...
stock vs stock i'd say they'd be about even on the highway and the SC3 faster in the 1/4

both cars respond to mods pretty much the same... both will run high mid 14s with all the boltons... the SC4 will get even quicker with a Torque converter... but it won't pick up much power; only a much better launch
