Default Trunk Support

So I finally got tired of my trunk falling on my head so I decided to post this thread. I'm trying to find some trunk supports for my 95 SC. I've looked and found countless websites with prices ranging from $20-$150. If anyone could post a link to a strut that is cheap and long lasting I would really appreciate it because this is giving me a headache ......... literally.

Thanks!

go to autozone, get for 25$, install. Theirs plenty of DIY for them on here just dont strip any screws or it turns a 15 minuite project into a pita.

I got mine from amazon for 29 bucks shipped. Strongarm model 4508. Installed in 10 minutes using a Jose on here and they have worked great for the past month I've had them.

The ones I pulled out we're KYB brand so I think they have been replaced once before. Not worth spending a lot of money on something like that...just like the power antenna.

My thought it would be better for us non spoiler people to get the spoiler struts, since they will be stronger and might possibly last longer.

I second that. The stronger the better.

Another thought is to do the hood supports at the same time, those will go bad eventually too.

Yup, my hood once are going out too but i dont open the hood anywhere near as often as the trunk and since im broke, i dont want to use the money just yet. Not when my brakes are bad and i decided that instead of buying new rotors and pads for the current system, i might as well get the LS400 brakes and rotors and get new wheels. So im trying to spend as little money as possible on everything else lol.

Will be getting some trunk struts this saturday when im not working. And ill probably get the spoiler once even though i dont have one.
