Question help me figure out what my swapped sc's worth

im havig some trouble figuring out how much to price my sc300 at when i put it up for sale in the near future, the reason i ask is that the prices for them seem to vary by a large amount and i dont want to sell the car for too cheap or put it up for way too much . thanks in advance

it was originally forest green but repainted white, has a very well done MK:IV supra 2jz-GTE swap, on stock supra suspension, with "black" interior with supra tigerstripe seats, flowmastre muffler, soarer headlights, 5spd tranny, 18" advan version 2's.

looks like a nice car.
upgrades really don't help resale value, except for enthusiasts.heck, even among enthusiasts, many upgrades on a car can devalue a car, due to it getting a "project" label in their mind, and projects aren't really ideal (dealing with a 1j swapped mkiii supra that attests to the fact).

two questions though`
1) does the green show through in critical spots (IE: engine bay, door/trunk gaps, etc)
2) what improvement does the soarer headlight offer over stock? were they modified for LHD?

Money dumped into mods never pays off financially.

However, since these motor swaps are usually very reliable when done right, I have seen these cars sell for anywhere from $5500 to $11000.
Considering you can pick up stock 5-speeds for under $2500, I think the swapped cars really are not as terrible of a money pit as other cars with other motors (especially those honda and subaru swaps.)

Just being a 5 speed with nice paint, wheels, suspension will net you imo 5500, being its a gte.... I wouldn't sell it for less then 7000. Again just my opinion. There is a 96 SC300 in my area with 68k bone stock selling at a car lot for 12k which I'd absurd!

off topic but can you post more pics of the top of your car.. i always wondered what a white sc would look like with a black top to go for a panoramic roof look..

The swap was done amazingly well and looks, starts like it came from the factory that way. paints not the greatest but was dont everywhere (door jams, engine bay) so its not that bad. heres a picture of the roof of it next to my pride and joy rx7

I sold my 92 sc3 with 1jz single turbo and w58 for 10k. It only put down 407whp too. I was surprised I got so much for it

Is it a R154 setup or W58, do you have any pics of the interior? A nice interior would make me feel a lot better about paying a little bit more for a car over another

yeah the transmission really seems to make a big difference with these swaps.

if you have a V160 or 161 you'll easily get 10k for the car. W58 6-7k, R154 8-9k? (minimums)
