I have a Pearl White SC, w/ 5% tint all the way around. IMO it looks awsome; however, I wouldnt reccomend getting a tint this dark because it is honestly like you are looking at 20% or so tint when trying to see out. At night it is hard to see clearly out the side windows w/o them being down.
Looks really goo din daylight though lol.
No defroster problems either.

Here in Florida - Tint is a MUST.
I run double 5% on all sides and either (cant remember, its been so long) 15% or 20% on the winshield (the whole winshield). Its blacked out. I was at the Orlando Meet, and I know some people got some shots of my car. Feel free to post if you have them! I think dark tint makes the car look a liittle more agressive. You get used to the tint at night after a while. The only problem is worring about cops.

I was at the Orlando meet, and I saw how dark keith's tint is........VERY DARK . If you can get away with this tint, I would say go for it. However, I still don't know how you [Keith] can see out of ir at night. At the meet, the sun was very bright and when u tried to look into keith's sc from the front, u couldn't.....and don't even try to look in it from the sides.

Here in California, the metallic tints are illegal. By what the guy who tinted my windows, he says the only place that the metallic tints are legal is Washington state. AFTERMARKET, that is. So the tints by MB are legal, because it came from the manufacturer.
I have a black SC300, and I have 5% on the back 3 windows and 35% on the front sides. Ever since I got the tint, my inside rear view mirror doesn't change hues anymore.
Keep in mind that since the cavity of the SC is relatively big, even with a lighter tint, the tint looks dark to law enforcement.
BTW, the "brown" tints/hues you guys speak of ... it's techanically called bronze.

Metallic tint is too legal in CA. I have about two dozen friends here with metallic tint including myself. Lllumar only makes metallic films and a local tint shop here has been using them for the last 15 years. Here's some more info on Llumar tint...
