Ps:

I think this hood is a good idea
I want a vented hood, but I'm waiting to see how this looks on a real SC first.

Are there any pictures of the hood on an SC so that we can see the fitment?

It's ED, they don't have cars to fit them to, they make kit for too many models.

We are still working on the part that the molds will come from, the piece is incomplete.

If ya don't mind me asking; have you guys taken the drag-coeffecient (cd) into account, when designing this hood?

Sorry to be a nerd, but ... It matters.

The Soarer/SC300 has a drag-coefficient of .30 with a spoiler (OEM), and .31 without.
Back in the 90's that was great; that was really aerodynamic for a mere production car; however that was then, whereas today cars like the GT-R (even with it's boxy body-style) produce numbers like .26 ...

So what Im wondering is, what if this hood increases the cd, and in-fact slows us down overall?

Any idea?

I like it; it's cool. I just don't want a part that's an aesthetic enhancement-only; I need function.
Even if it functions as far as "cooling" in the engine bay, I don't want it to be a hinderance to acceleration.

even if this hood makes the car slide though air i doubt you would buy the hood.... who cares how much a hood decreases your aerodynamics if at all? seriously guy.

this hood plus your wing. make you go from point a to point b, .000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 seconds faster! yay!

jk of course

I thought the GT-R produced .27Cd? Porsche 997 GT3s produce .31Cd, R-32s produce .40Cd.

To answer your question, no , we have not taken Cd into consideration.

I mighta hit 6 by accident … Still, 0.26, 0.27, the difference is marginal. I didn't know the Porsche was that high though.
Not tryin' to bombard you with questions, but whats the purpose of the smaller hole toward the top corner?
