why would you want it made out of texalium? thats garbage.. its just aluminum coated fiberglass, its not as stiff as carbonfiber, its heavier, and not as strong.. its not white/silver carbon fiber.

ExtremeDimensions:
the pics with the dual mini vent was a gen 2 top secret hood the gen 1 had one mini scoop.. also plz let me know where you guys are located if you need a car for "fitment" if you are in norcal, pick me pick me..
last thing, how much lower does it drop than a stock hood? some people have strut tower bars and it wold be so sad if the hood hit the strut bar and couldnt be closed :/ id cry. lol

Because it looks sweet with white cars who cares of it isn't as strong as cf. These hoods are all about looks anyways

No. those vents are there for better cooling, anything that just slightly cools is always a good thing.

if your car has only bpu or is stock then you dont need any extra cooling, but thats true but you can never have enough cooling

Looks nice, interested to hear if it clears a turbo without needing trimming. My car just got finished with paint though, so maybe a little late for me now.

Looks different then the actual hoods that were getting made.... those new pictures make the vents look massive.

Update pics of the actual hoods when finished please.

Yeah, I can see the photoshops do make the scoops look a bit more sunk in... They are one inch openings if that helps?

Hopefully the guys who have pre-paid for the hoods won't be stingy with the pics!

I knew this would happen; which is why I didn't sign on until I saw one made already.
It does nothing (aesthetically) for the car.
I was hoping it would really be an enhancement in appearance, like an SC Type-R or something ...
It just looks like another generic GT hood ... I can see this on 100 other cars; it doesn't "belong" to anything (if you know what I mean); the contours of the SC, and the lines in the hood, they just don't go together. Im not doubting its quality, Im simply talking about it's appearance; it just doesn't match the car; especially 'cus it's a linear design, when the car itself is round all over. There are no sharp edges on the SC, but you have quadrilateral vents (???)
Nice, but I'll pass. I think Im'a go with whatever hood this is instead ...
