What made you buy a SC?
As the title says what about the sc made you buy one? I'm pretty sure there are some interesting stories behind this.
My reason for buying a Sc300 all started when I was about 16. I was so in love with the famous supra, but knew I would never be able to afford the mk4 body style so I did my research and found out that Toyota made something very similar the beautiful Lexus Sc300/400 I fell in love with the body style,luxury and speed. So last year a guy had a 92 sc3 for 1200 and I bought her and never looked back 208,000 miles and 2 bad piston rings and I wouldn't of changed my mind for anything. Put a 68,000 mile motor in now she's all better.... Pics and upgrades comming soon!

I needed a car that could handle my super lead right foot lol! My friend let me test drive his sc4 that he picked up. As soon as i hit the highway onramp and went to second gear i told him 'this car is gonna be mine' haha!
Ive had or driven 240's, 3000gt's, skylines, eclipses....and everything broke down as soon as i stepped on it...except this car:-)

my cousin made the mistake of leaving his 96 sc4 at my house for 2 weeks and left me the key to ...ummmm... move it if it was in the way.....well with that said I had the key and i had to drive it I was hooked

Yeah, there's already a thread like this a few months back, but I never posted so...
Originally I wanted an IS300, it was my dream car ever since high school, and living in the Philippines there's no way I can afford a Lexus! So when me and my wife and daughter moved to CA and looking for our first car I dealt with a lot of dealerships that were being dishonest and preying on our lack of credit history... Until my uncle suggested looking into craigslist, me still wanting to keep the "L" logo, found what looks like a black SC. A few weeks before buying a car, I went to a car show and saw mehsoarer's SC;

I didn't know that it was an SC yet until I saw the craigslist ad, but I already fell in love with its widebody, big booty, V8, refined aggressive design. Then I did a lot of research, on specs, pricing, reliability, reviews, etc. and I was immediately sold to it. So I met up with the SC owner the next day, and it was almost dark at night, so I still thought I was looking at a black SC until the third day when we finally bought it that I realized it was actually midnight indigo pearl... But I was like what the heck, for that price, no way I was gonna let it pass! Now when I got the car home, I realized that my wife's brother-in-law's brother(raine) actually has the same car, but a 300, which ultimately made me wanna keep my SC cause I've seen what he has done to his. And what's funny is, I bought my SC at a considerably low price for $3600, and during my first SC wash, I saw a receipt from a tow company stating that the guy I bought the SC from, won it at an auction for $2300 just a month before! And I've spent more than 3 times of my buying price already in this car... LOL
