Could you get the side mirrors tinted even (?) in a blueish color to not have that glare at night? I know the 96-2k Sc's had those tinted side mirrors.

Could you swap out the glass and wire in the mirrors. I have tint but the headlight glare in the side mirrors is still really irritating. I never knew about the 96+ mirriors. I want them now. Anyone want to trade?

Actually they don't quite work like that. It's more complicated. The light sensor on the rear view mirror signals all three (rearview and side) mirrors to tint. The individual mirrors don't have sensors. There is also another light sensor that checks the light outside (it makes the headlights turn on automatically). So the electrochromatic mirrors turn on only when it's dark outside and the rearview mirror gets excessive amount of light shined at it.

PS. Check this out. Park your car in a dark garadge with the rear view sensor pointing at the opened garadge door and make sure the headlights turn on automatically. You'll see the mirrors go dark. It's kind of cool.
