Question License Plate Mount

So the sc300 I just bought didn't come with the front license plate mount and I'm in Cali where it's the law. Does the oem mount fit better on the bumper versus an autozone product? Also did they make the oem mounts color matching? Thanks again guys I've learned alot from this forum in last couple weeks.

I don't see what fits better than an OEM product. Try to get one that looks nice at least, you already have holes in your bumper I see. I would say get one that points the plate downward, or you could do some sort of ziptie to the side thing.

Since you're new Ill give ya a run down of the advanced search! I saw the ad as well that KingPhillip mentioned. go to search at the top and click advanced search. read all the options thoroughly once and you'll be able to find thats at ease! I was punching in "DIY harness relocation" just in the menu and flipping through pages to find the one for sc etc. etc. for so long until I figured out to go to advanced search

My '98 SC3 needed a bracket when i bought it. The local, Lexus of Maplewood wanted a little over a $100.00. It's a piece of molded black plastic and 2 screws. The parts guy was pretty cool and said to find it online for cheaper, Stevinson Lexus of Frederick had it for $62.00. Went back to the dealer and they installed it for free. I hated having to spend the $$ for this, I prefer the clean look of no front plate, but I guess the cops need some metal on the front to bounce the radar off of.

i kind of have a solution to this. mounts to the side or even the front like the evos but you wont see no bracket as it mounts under the opening. it looks legit. looks like its just floating. ill see if i can do an install and document it when i do it. i did one for my eclipse where it raises up by the wind as you speed up and drops as you slow down for stop lights and such incase you come across a cop. i remember seeing police pulling me over thinking i was driving without a plate but then as i tell them i do and to check, they seem a little dumbfounded and let me be on my way lol...
