Bozo in bmw x5 hit my sc
While at work, peacefully taking care of some stuff at the office. Some random dude (This stranger is about 6'2", heavy built.... but anyways) comes into the office and asks " Do you own a red Lexus?"
At this moment, my mind is racing, I'm thinking "who in the world is this guy and why is he asking about my car?" So, I respond, "Yeah, it's mine. Why?!" as I look dead in the eye. He says, "Oh, it's 'cause my friend hit your car." In my mind, I was like WHAT THE F*! I tell him, "You're kidding me aren't you?" And he's like "No, seriously. Come and look." So I go outside to the parking lot to check on my baby and what do I find?
A group of Bozos standing next to my car, while one is holding pieces of my now broken mirror from driver's side. As I walk closer, I notice that the !diot that hit my car was just standing there, not saying a word. Well, anyways, I ask "Alright, who did this?" and the ashamed culprit approaches me and tells me "I'm going to fix it. Just need some tape to hold it in place. Or you can just take it to my shop in Paramount." I'm still in disbelief, so I tell him "Are you're kidding me, you just crashed into my car!" Yes, I know it's nothing major, but still. I didn't want him touching my car. Long story short, he ends up confessing to me that his friend was rushing him and he didn't see my car. Not because it is low to the ground, but because he didn't look in his rear view mirror because his stinking sensor didn't tell him. Anyways, so now I'm on the task of figuring out how I'm going to remove the broken mirror and finding a red right side mirror for my baby.
Anyone have a few tips to remove my broken mirror?

That’s a shame hope everything works out in the long run! It could of been worse though, the "bozo" could of taken off without saying a word. That would suck, not knowing who did this. I would be mad as hell! He better be paying for that mirror too!!!
Anyway, to get the mirror off, you need to remove the door panel and window trim. Than you will find the harness for the mirror tilt, unplug that. If I remember correctly, there are 3 10mm bolts holding the mirror in place on the inside of the door. Unbolt it and the mirror will come right off. Be sure to hold the mirror when unbolting it or it will fall, even thoughts its already broke lol. This should only take about 30 minutes to do.
Good luck!

Thank you for the tips 8052JZ
You're right, good thing he didn't run off.
Luckily it was nothing major and I got $100 from this. I just ordered my power mirror from ebay for $40. Same color, too.
P.S. I made a $60 profit

Sorry to hear it bro, i too have suffered fatal wounds from bad drivers , but i didnt trun out as lucky ( totaled my car and left the scene. He rear ended my car while parked and was going to fast that he actually forced my car over the parking stop and into a ditch in front of it.)

^^Get over it. It's an accident, the guy stayed and offered to fix it. I would've thanked him for staying and notifying me of what he did and moved forward with the next step to fix it. No biggie, it's just a car..heck just a side mirror in this case.
