I have another problem with my car. It's a 2000 SC300 and the drivers power seat stopped working a while back. I took it out to look at it and found there is a plastic gear on the inboard side which was stripped. The little clip fell off and buggered up the gear. It's driven by a mini drive-shaft from the motor and gears on the outboard side. Anyway I tried to buy the part from the dealer and the only thing they could offer was a whole new seat assembly for $650.00 - no way. I ended up taking bad gear off and just let that side freely move. It has a little slop so I'd like to fix it properly . Anybody out there got a gear?

My Passenger seat was just like that, it will only move one rail and the seat would go sides ways. I took out the assembly off the bad side of the rail that didnt work and it now the seat works great just by move one of the rails.
