Default New one

hey guys, I've been lurking around here for a while, but I'll pop in since I just got an Sc400 (also my first car btw)

It seems pretty good. 169k miles no mechanical damage at all and pretty clean engine. A few cosmetic problems though. I think i will need a new bumper (previous owner hit a sign (icy road) and the bumper was slightly damaged. I think I will also need to re-aligned the hood and fender, replace the seats, some small interior work, etc. but most of them are cosmetics.

The trunk also could not be opened from the button inside which i don't know why and I can't open the cd think at the back. What do you guys think i should do? and of course the backlights on the dash...

I would skip the fiberglass. They make lots of awesome urethanes and epoxies for bumpers. Then just use a heat gun to push out the dented in part.

Fiberglass should fix her right up. I would try that first then if not happy put on a new bumper. Welcome to the SC community!!!!

Thanks for the input and welcome guys.

I'm also having problems with the remote. I just got a new battery for it and it unlocks the front driver side when I press the button, but won't lock. It also won't lock both doors when I use the key. It unlocks both at the same time, but I have to lock each door one by one.

Pretty sure the trunk wont open from inside because the valet key is pressed in. Its located right next to the switch, check if ur key will fit and unlock the button

Default Rims

did a few things since i got it/

Just got some new rims as the old ones were rubbing on my calipers. Also got new shocks (probably gonna get them put on tomorrow or wednesday) and ordered new spark plugs because the car is running rich. Either way my current spark plugs needs to go so if it is the spark plugs i guess im lucky if not, ill get it check.

I'm also going to paint the calipers red (the original paint is chipped because of the old rims)

car wash

with new rims
