Default How do you determine the offset of wheels?

My friend has some 18' rims off of his 1998 Toyota Avalon that he is selling. I want to buy them, but he is not sure of the offset. Before I buy them, I want to make sure they fit and see what size tires I will need so that I have enough clearance and don't have to roll the fenders. They are 18x7.5. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Not knowing the offset, I can't really use the tire guide on the forum to deterime this info.

They are most likely +45 or +50 offset like most factory wheels.

I can visually see that they are offset more than factory. I looked all other the rims for the offset to be stamped somewhere, but it wasn't. Is there anyway that I can messure it to see what it is? Like from the inside or outside of the rim?

What about some 235/45/18? You're not going to have any problem fitting a 7.5inch wheel on a SC. I have 9.'s in the front with a 265 and 10.5's in my rear on 285's I did have to roll my rears so they wouldn't rub but you will have no problem.

Thanks guys! Looks like I shouldn't have a problem with them fitting. And I did look all over the inside of the rim for a 2 digit number between 20-50, and couldn't find any.
