Default help with possible electric short

i have a 95 sc400, recently the only way i can describe it is, i have a red light inside the car not the security light, & when it is blinking it means the car will turn over but not start, so i have to push this button down by my left knee until it stops blinking then the car will start. well now it takes at least 5 min to get the car started., & it seems like the battery is being drained, (sounds weak when starting) and now when i get it started the engine surges & even the trunk will pop open?? i don't know where to start, please somebody has to know something about this electrical problem i'm having, i really miss driving my Lexy

Sounds like some kind of kill switch or aftermarket alarm to me. That button you're talking about is usually the valet mode for car alarms
