Question Heat!!!!

I have a93 SC400 and it only blows hot air when the engine is at a high RPM, the heat works fine while driving but does not blow very hot when sitting still. The car warms up to normal opperating temp but does not blow hot until I start Moving. Has anyone else had this problem??

Most every car I've owned has always blown hotter air while moving than when sitting still. For instance, if I drive from home to work the air will get HOT while on the highway, then while sitting at lights idling it is noticeably less warm. It's not terrible and is warmer than outside temp of course.

Sorry I couldn't help, just adding my exp.

Default Here's what happened to me.......

This may or may not be your specific problem, but I solved my similar symptoms just by adding coolant!

This might seem silly, but I have the same problem when i have the temperature **** turned high (even though i have the heat off). If I turn the **** all the way down, I don't get any heat.

I also get that....in my Lexus and BMW....it not only blows hotter, but harder.....not necessarily a high RPM thing.
Say you are stopped at a light though and then start driving, you can tell the difference.
I heard it was normal.
