need input on what to ask for 2000 sc300 (black leather)
2000 sc300
silver exterior
black interior
automatic
160k
timing belt was done @ 150k.
the clear coat on the hood is bad, and the clear coat on the roof has some bad sports.
dent on drive side of car... guy in a truck backed into the car, his insurance company totaled the car. last time i checked, the title was still clear, but i will check it again before listing.

A lot of different factors are to going to dictate what is a fair asking price for it. The biggest/crucial factor would be the title brand, is it clear or branded? The quarter panel from the pic seems that it took a good hit. It's going to need a paint job also based on the hood pic. Also, your radiator is about to give out on you...
The good, it's a rare color combo! Silver with black interior!
Interior looks relatively clean!
It's a 2000, latest model year of the SC!
Maintenance seems to be kept up, recent timing belt change!
It will be hard to give you an accurate number until you confirm the title brand...If the title is branded, then your best bet is to part it out. I call first dibs on the interior!

In my state MD KBB Private party listed at (fair condition) $5,490. Try getting anything (sum) under the listed price of KBB. Good Luck!

lol...book values dont mean much in these economic times. 4k obo makes sense, but remember its a 12 year old car in need of body work and a paint job. Your best bet if you think its worth book value is hold out for another sc enthusiast to pick it up

Make sure everything else checks-out/ is in working order, if not add that COST to your repair list including the dent/painting etc. and deduct that amount from the price the seller is offering. Yes $4,000 if not totaled would be a good start, but try and get it lower if you can.

the interior is in real good shape.
mechanically, the car has been perfect.
my plan was to keep the for for 6~12 months, but it still makes me mad to see that dent!
probably list it on craigslist for 4k, and list it on here for 3,500.
