Need suggestion on buying my first SC400
HI Club Lexus =D
My name is Fred, I recently just join this forum cause i fell in love with this car ever since my dad showed me when was 5. Ever since Ive been always wanting to own such a beautiful car. I've been searching for a while looking for a sc400 and came upon this ( its really hard to find a good lexus sc400 in Canada ) :
1994 Lexus SC400
$5500 CDN
120000km
Black Exterior
custom Borla exhaust
here are some of the cons on the car:
-brakes done, ( im assuming the brakes need to be replaced?)
-replacement of broken driver's side mirror and potential replacement of coil for automatic window (just passenger side)
I was wondering if this car is worth it ( the prices where i live are insanely high for these cars)
Is there any other stuff i should look out for when buying a lexus sc400?
Thanks!

For a '94 yes it's too high, check the Kelly Blue Book site to see the sale by owner cost.

Hi Fred,
I am also from Alberta (Calgary). I think given the mileage, the price is reasonable, but try to get it for around $4500 given the repairs. That is a desireable color and I think at 4500 your getting a good buy.

Hey Neil4Speed,
Yeah I'll try to get it down to 4500 , on her ad she wanted 5500 FIRM( hope she will cut me some slack with the price =D) . Would 5000 still be a decent price for it though?

omg, 5000 wouldn't be a bad price. Of course, it wouldn't be a great price either.
I paid 5 flat for my 97 sc3, but then again i had already been bid sniped on the same car. Mine was in perfect shape, minus the dings.

So I went to check the car out today , and the first i thing i see is that both the door mirror are destroyed ( i thought it was just the mirror , i guess not) and the drivers side door handle is destroyed ( she said that there was a attempted robbery so they tried forcing it to open). At first i didnt think it was that bad until i tried looking for parts in Canada . I search ebay/locals and still cant find the parts. Is there any good trust sites that sell these parts that will ship to Canada without denting my wallet?

OMG, have you checked the classified section on CL? I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but parts for these cars are not cheap. They are built like tanks, but when they break, the costs can add up quickly.
