My brother has an 05 CL65 AMG and yes, there is nothing like 740 tq -- half again more than a Viper and made from 2-4k rpm. The 605hp is almost an afterthought. Right now it's got the stickiest non-track tires I could find in 19 inch -- Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 -- and it is still traction limited until 70+ mph. The average person never gives it a second glance in traffic
KahnBB6 - My last car :
05 Legacy GT w/ FP HTA Green turbo (between GT30 and GT35R) , all the supporting mods, and of course the bumper cover went back on. I'm finished with turbo 4 cylinders though. From now on if I have boost it will have displacement to go with it.
That is a nice looking Legacy! I like the look of that generation. I actually passed up a chance to buy a black on black '05 5-speed GT before finding my SC. It would have been a much faster car out of the box (and easier to smog with BPU) but I couldn't fathom not having a rear-drive two door at the time. Now I'd probably buy one because I'd rather have the horsepower over smog hassles with boosting my SC.
I've still yet to try a turbocharged four cylinder car. Displacement is always good but I like small and boosted too.
Yeah, I always thought the 240 was the down grade to the SC... but who am I to judge this is my first SC and I never owned a 240
I owned my fastback for 9 years and i love it, my sc3 i had it for 3 years now and i love it But.. I have to say i dont know why people compare them there is a weight/power difference, people mistake it with a s14, that is true but some older gentleman did call mine a pontiac gto once..
its like comparing trousers a dress shirt and tie to a roll up long sleeve dress shirt, t shirt and jeans
the Lexus its more mature, the Nissan can be a bit more youthful. both are Fun = I<3 RWD
to keep in subject Toyota ft86 or a new Silvia would be my picks in a couple of years.
I'm going to keep my sc as my weekend car but I'd probably daily an sti or a gsxr1000
I used to daily drive a GSX-R750 - It built my tolerance for speed. Everything else after that felt so slow. Hmmm.. I should just get another one... That will be my next vehicle
Going to be realistic here lfa? Haha ok . So this is my very short list 1 through 3 1 being the most realistic and what I would want to trade the sc in for.
1. UFC 30 ls430
2. UFC 21 ls400 vvti
3 .mk4 not likely though
My next car would be a 4-door, then two doors with two sliding doors, gotta move on in life
