Default My New SC300

So I bought an 95' SC300 yesterday and it has a beautiful engine but major cons.

Windshield is cracks
Trunk won't open
Center console is loosely fitted
Carpetting is super stained and poorly treated
Rear view mirror is broken
Radio is missing
Driver door panel is all broken and what not
Windows don't work
Rear bumper is dented
Has dent behind driver door
And fog lights won't turn on

I have myself quite a project ahead of me but what can you expect for 1400 right?

Most people wouldn't of bought it probably. However, aside, congrats.

Throw in these other things you will probably have to change...
valve cover gaskets
head gaskets
engine/trans mounts
distributor o ring
control arms

to name a few.

Post pics, we love pics.

Well welcome to the club. I cant believe most people just trash these cars or just drive the heck out of them and do absolutely nothing to them.

GL on your project car. All of those things can be easily fixed, but do the maintenance first, then the small stuff.

:\ Why did you get this? lol You're gonna be spending a lot of money to get that fixed to regular stock when you could have gotten a better SC and spend THAT money modding

Tommy, two things after looking at your engine. One, please get a fan shroud. Two, replace your upper radiator hose.

The fan shroud pushes air coming from your engine fan directly into the back side of your radiator giving efficient cooling. With the fan shroud removed, that big fan will direct air all over the place and your engine might run warmer during hot summer days. You can either buy one from Sewell Lexus Parts online or post a WTB ad in the classified. If you have any electrical experience, you might want to consider removing the fan altogether and installing an electrical fan set up.

Your upper radiator hose looks like it has duct tape holding a crack closed. If this "tape" fails, you'll have coolant pissing all over the place. If you lose to much coolant the engine will overheat and you will possible crack your head gasket. Hoses are cheap, replacing your head gasket will cost a lot of $$$. You can find a hose online or order one from an auto parts store.

tabaka, does electric fans provide better cooling then stock one does?
