Default Paint time!!!

OK everybody. I have 97 sc I'm about to paint. It was the original Lexus black but I'm thinking of going white. I like the Alpine White the new M3 have but I want to go even whiter. I would like your feedback on what color I should do it. I'm not going with Pearl White because well, want to use the extra dough for the motor. What white would look awesomely clean on my SC?

Have you got a quote on doing a color change from black to white?I'd assume you get your door, trunk jams and engine bay painted as well just saying it might be a few thousand bucks before you're outta the woods as compared to a same color respray

If you are doing a full color change, please do it right by getting all the inner sheet metal painted.

Stick with black 202, keep it original and your car will retain much more value!!! Clean black 202's (paint code) look SICK!

I got quoted 1K which is awesome and yes I get all but the engine bay painted. I've seen this guy's work first hand and looks so amazing. I have gold center M5 racing harts and I think it would awesome. The reason I want to go white is because this is my daily driver and Texas heat can be unforgiving in the summer.

Stick with the original color because color change can be very expensive plus if you're not going to do it right (meaning taking the interior out) don't change the color

Yup, most of these guys have it right when it comes to painting it a whole different color.. In the long run, if you don't get all the jambs, inner trunk/lids and bays painted, you will get tired of it very quick.

That is, if you are not planning on keeping it for long, then by all means go for it.. But even then, you probably won't get top dollar for a half a$$ed painted car.

Just a thought.

Thanks guys for the input. I really appreciate it. I guess I might as well keep it original and just buy an original pearl white later. Thanks once again. 202 it is. its gonna look so sexy at night lol.
