Default HEY!! found a gauge cluster for my car

hey wassup everyone....im sooooo excited...just found a used cluster for my sc300 for 100.00 smakerz...it looks like it is in perfect condition and all of the needles work....the only question that i have are if it will work properly because it is off of a 1996 sc 400...not only that but the miles read higher on this cluster than the one that i have....what do you guys think??

First of all, what year is your SC300? The 300 and 400 clusters are the same for most years, and you can get the odometer rolled back to your correct mileage if you had to.

The cluster will work, but the rpms will be screwed up. Meaning the rpm gauge will indicate higher revs than normal.

They specialize in recalibrating Porsche, Ferrari, Benz, and BMW gauge clusters, but the tech there is a freaking genius and figured out to roll mine back. My original instrument cluster was stolen out of my car (don't ask me why they went for that ..) so I had to use a salvaged one from a '94 with 94k miles. The guy rolled it back to 47k for me. He won't roll back any old odometer you give him. You have to present documented proof that you car has as many miles as he's rolling it back to otherwise he won't do it.
About a 90 minute drive for you, but they'll do the job.

scpower, to take off the handle, remove the ebrake cover (i think it just pulls off if i remember), and then unscrew like 2-3 screws. I dunno if u can get the handle off the lever part tho. Hope you can though. Good luck
