Will SC Suspension fit on first gen gs??
#2
jmai,
GS Forum maybe more appropriate place for that question. I do know that the two cars share a platform, but have no idea if you want to guess on weight and balance.
Will it physically bolt up... yes.. Will it lower your car 1" or 2" or raise it.... I dunno.

so it will for sure physicall bolt on right?? well the way i see it is this
SC weighs about 3,528 lbs
http://autos.msn.com/vip/specificati...d=1711&src=vip
First Gen GS weighs about 3,660
http://autos.msn.com/vip/specificati...d=1709&src=vip
NA Supra weighs 3,315
http://autos.msn.com/vip/specificati...d=2772&src=vip
since the gs is the lowest of the 3. my only concern would if it is too heavy it would affect the suspension since it was not designed for the weigh. but i would also have to add another 200 for my car because of my sound system. so i'm in at 3,800 roughly. this is like an extra 5 people in the car.

if this was the case...
The sc400 weighs in at 3616 or something. Sc's using the supra na springs has a difference of about 300lbs. So if it does work... I dont see a problem why the first gen GS weighing 3660 would have any problems with the sc400 springs. SC to GS differs about 44lbs?

jmai,
Try it, only way to find out for sure.
My guess is that the car won't be level.
Only was to know for sure is to find a dealer that STOCKS both supra and GS suspension parts. Pull them out of the box and do a side by side..
The problem I have with the weight differential is that it says NOTHING about the distribution front to back. Four doors will push weight to the rear making it look uneven.

jmai,
Forget it, won't fit. Your suspension geometry is too far from the sc/supras. Bummer... I can almost guarantee that it wont line up.

This is based on the diagrams and nothing else....but I say no go..
