Default Torque for Android

I got my phone (Motorola Bionic) mounted to my windshield where I think it'll stay for a while and wanted to see what the recordings would look like. As such, here's an example. It's very basic and the audio isn't great. I'm not sure why it doesn't allow for a higher quality recording.

This particular feature that I am posting about is a tool that allows you to drive and display real time information. For example, in this video you can see my speed and rpm count.

Some SCs are plagued with non working speedometers and rpm guages so this app seems pretty cool.

Has to be quite inconvenient to look at your phone just to see a tiny MPH and RPM readout in the corner of the screen.
Does the app do anything else?

I have the program but I dont use it for the HUD. Its all about the OBD2 scanner for me. Reading CEL, clearing codes, monitoring my fuel trim and O2 sensors... Neat thing is that you can display the results in a form of a graph.

Haha, this is true. But there are others that are basically full-screen so you don't have to squint.

True but this phone app doesn't cost a fortune.

How does this work? I assume there's a diagnostic-to-USB adapter or something involved?

There is, but mine is the bluetooth version. Different was only $4 or so, and I didn't want to mess around with a cable. (click link below)

Amazon Amazon

If you have an android, then the application is a must. It's way more capable than any scanner for the price.
