So I stole this idea from another poster seeking a headcount for members who owned '97 SC300s with manual transmissions. Mine's a 93. I felt left out and decided to start my own thread, but for shifters of ALL model years. (I had a mechanic tell me "they did not make that car in a manual transmission" when he saw I marked "manual" on the work order. "I drove it here. I should know," I replied.)

So, how many were made? (I think I read or heard 120 a year. Not sure.) Who here owns an original stick?

Here's mine, complete with factory phone. (Someone in the other thread requested photos.) Under 150k and fully original, missing only the foldout cup holder. Did any of these survive? Second owner, for years I wondered what that slot in the panel was for, marveling that my wallet or cell phone seemed to fit perfectly inside.)

(I'm still looking for interior doors and seats, if anyone has any for sale.)

dude search seriously there are threads with numbers posted year by year, is it rare? yes ......how well lets say my car looked exaclty like yours when i bought it in 2007 same color combination and yes 5 speed. There are a ton of original 5 speed cars on this board. I think something like 2400 a year were made. Now the phone....lol who cares what a waste of space that is. I think its a dealer add on option anyways it was not shipped from Japan like that.

Well, Champion, you would definitely know better than I. I love my car, but it's hardly my raison d'etre.I don't know where I heard that number. As for the phone, wasn't my idea and when the issue arose in another thread someone requested a photo. (If you don't care for the topic, perhaps don't read the post.)

Does excessive inhalation of exhaust and gasoline fumes cause unwarranted aggression amongst car enthusiasts? I wonder.
