Big stereo build feature in an SC
I have no idea how I missed this, I have had this magazine for 14 years and my SC for almost 10 years. LOL.
I dug out my old CSR magazines and was looking through them and found this install from the December 1998 issue.
Enjoy!

i really like the integrated subs but hate how the trunk is gone with that many amps. thankfully with todays technology there are bullit proof 5 channel amplifyers that take up less room then one of these amps with built in signal processing. and with my MP3 player i dont need a cd changer anymore. i want to copy his rear deck idea but im lost as to the front speekers i cant find anything that makes good speakers for our doors anyone have any ideas?

Very cool. I miss articles like this. Very detailed and informative. I like his rear deck idea too but I already have my amps under there. His spare tire well is nice too. I like how he kept most his trunk space and still has all that in there.

You could get some badass 5 & 6 channel amps back in the mid 90s too, albeit without signal processing. It doesn't look like he's missing much trunk.
The killer for me would be the kick panels. That's just too much room lost for a daily driver. It's fine for a competition car though.
I did car stereo back then. Too bad there's no money in it today. It's treated mostly as an afterthought and many people have no idea what a truly good system sounds like.
