Default problems with the steering on my 95 sc300

ok i didnt know weather this was suspension n maintenance or performance lol. anywho this is how my car acts.

im goint straight, i turn to the left, doesnt respond until i keep turning. i straighten up, steering wheel is pointed to the left. i make a right turn, doesnt react instantly until i keep turning. i t straighten up, and the steering wheel is pointed to the right. any ideas?? i heard its either the steering column or the rack and pinion

I had an sc400 that had too much play too. Lifted the car up and found out that the steering column was loose because the thread was broken. I recommend you to check the rack really carefully and make sure it tight in its place. Note that steering problems can lead to dangerous accidents.

If you're not sure what to look for it may help to get underneath and have a friend turn the wheel back and forth to see exactly what's going on.

Buy the steering rack bushing kit from Diazen. Still probably the best $50 I've spent on my car.
