On another note, do you guys get much tramlining/rut-seeking behavior with the TTs? I do. On bad roads, I really have to have a good grasp on the wheel because the car wants to follow all the ruts and crowns. On good roads its a non-issue and the car tracks straight and drives nice, but it is a workout on some of the torn up roads around here.

Yes actually I do. I need to have a grasp on really uneven roads.

Let me throw something else out there. Would the offset of the front wheels have anything to do with it? I have been reading that some people suggest spacers to make the wheels more flush with the rears. Does anyone think that could be a contributing factor?

I don't know, but I checked today and I do have some obvious feathering/cupping on the inside of my front tires. Strange...

I am bumping this to hear from others with TT wheels. Do any of you guys with TT wheels NOT have this isssue? If so, can you share your alignment specs and suspension setups? I for sure have this going on up front, and don't want to put another set of tires on these wheels if they are going to wear like this again.

Maybe it's the tire size?

I never had any of these issues when I had the Supra wheels for a few years on and off.

The tires are good year all seasons 275 rear 245 front.

Factory alignment and lowered about 2-2.5".

Probably the best riding non oem wheel that I had on this car. Rode nice and soft.

Okay, interesting. You don't happen to remember the toe and camber numbers do you?

I have no real issues with them BUT I do have 20mm spacers up front and and usually have all 4 tires "flipped" on the rim every 10k or so also I have a custom alignment with 0 toe and 1.4- camber in the front as the camber is maxed so I need adjustable upper control arms to adjust beyond that.

Thanks guys. I think I will try one more set of tires on these and take the car to another alignment shop to see what they think. What gets me is that my stock tires wore so evenly and had zero cupping. I don't understand why the TTs would wear so differently.

If your alignment was done on stock rims and you just threw on the much wider tt rims then you would need an alignment for the change in geometry so this is most likely causing your cupping issue.

Also try running less toe as this will cause this issue as well plus it makes the car handle much much better.

I actually did have the car aligned after the TTs, so maybe the alignment is NFG. I do know that before the alignment, the car used to pull slightly and the steering wheel was not straight, but it never did eat tires

I'm also running TT wheels on my sc300 and I noticed the inside of the front tires had much more wear than the outside. Glad I'm not the only one. I'm running 235/45/17 up front and 275/40/17 rear if that makes a difference.
