the bezels inside would be painted flat/satin black
its reduces scattered light negating the light pattern

I've actually had a spraycan of Sandstone Beige mixed for me (wasn't a perfect match, slightly goldish), but I had a spare headlight to mess around with, so I painted it sandstone beige and put it on the car. When the car was sitting in the shade, the colors matched pretty well and you could get a good idea as to how well it'd look if it *did* match perfectly. I must say, the car looks pretty hot with a bodycolor headlight. It would look just wicked if you had an all-clear headlight cover to go along with it! I was also looking at the highbeam the other day, and I determined that it wouldn't be all that bad to paint the grooved bezel on the highbeam to black or bodycolor so that it matches a headlight mod well, but at the same time doesn't rob you of light.

Rice?? So the body-colored headlights on the Ferrari 575M Marenello are rice? Or were you talking about the blackened headlights on the $800,000 Ferrari Enzo? Thanks for the heads-up!

If you want to black them out, and you'll like it, then do it.

Next time my car is out of the garage, it will be solid white, but once again have blacked out reflectors in the lights.

This is an old pic, but I had those blacked out too. I loved it:

I would definately do it The Top-Secret Supra is gold and it has black headlights. Doesn't look like a problem to me.

does anyone make a blacked out headlight housing unit for our cars? has anyone made one them selves? if so how did you do it? im thinking about making/or buying one since i think it would look good on a black car.
