You should keep in mind that whenever you are going to different wheel/ tire setup, you would do best to get your car re-aligned. The change in offset will alter the suspension geometry. Moreover, it is just smart preventive maintenance to do so especially after putting on a fresh set of tires.

The tires are most likely loud because the wheels/tires are out of alignment.

To the OP, you can also go to tirerack.com (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/review...surveyComments) and read reviews on your particular make/model of tire to determine whether this is inherent to the tire, or perhaps a mechanical issue as I suggested above.

I would get a spare on asap or steps 1-3 my happen...

i was driving aggressively when it went out, was little loose and felt like one side of the car dropped a bit like after a bump. friend thought it was fine but i limped it to a house with a usable spare.highway driving was a nightmare and a 5 min trip turned 20 minutes. Not to mention i looked sloppy until i changed the spare.... I had RFT as well quality tires def makes a difference.

Better be glad you found it now than on the side of the road next to a guard rail or another car..

Keep us informed on what the alignment people say...

thats pretty rough, at least you caught it before you had a blow out though. things could have gotten rough. this would probably be a good thing for everyone to do.
