Default Could anyone get me this part number?

Hey guys,

I have a 98 SC300 and I need a gasket for the position of #5 on this diagram.

I was going to order it from Carson Toyota, but they're going to charge me $15 for shipping for an item that weighs a few ounces...

I tried going to local parts stores, but their diagrams are all the same for 92-2000 SC300s, but the exhaust setup is different on the 98+ (VVTi), and they keep selling me the wrong gasket.

So I just need the part number (or even part name.. I have no idea what the proper name is) so I can call up Lexus and check if they have it in stock.

Thanks!

I would if I knew what the exact name was... everytime you tell someone exhaust gasket they throw 4 different things at you.

Thanks LexusFTW

I got some of those at AutoZone a month ago for my 01GS300,,$5.00 for two. They are just 2 metal donut rings. I did not want to pay $15 to ship a $7.00 part. from Sewell Lexus.

Was it this Duralast by Felpro gasket? :

I searched that Lexus part number on AutoZone and that's what pulled up. How has it worked out for you?

Yes, it was the Duralast brand. It worked out great for me. It got rid of my CEL Code P0430, Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2 problem. Lexus told me I needed a new Catalyic system, $1900.00. Yeah right. I checked on this forum and found most people with that problem change those gaskets and it fixed their problem. When they start to leak it causes the O2 sensor to read the exhaust temp incorrectly throwing that code. Once I changed them out the code cleared itself after driving about 63 miles. Sewell has the same part # for the 98 SC300/400 and 00-05 GS300.
Get them and changed them out and you will be happy.
