Wow this is game changing. I have been eyeing an SC but been avoiding the 400 since its auto. Now I can get whatever I want. How does the RE5RO5A trans hold up to power? I know the VQ blocks are only good for maybe 400 max.
Either way awesome build!
I forgot to ask, how did the interior pieces turn out after the black vinyl paint? Does it scratch easy?

The 350z 6 speed trans all depends on which one you get from my understanding. The 03' is the really weak one. However the cd09 (I think) is the one that holds up really well.
I originally wanted to do that trans but you have to get the bellhousing milled down and I didn't feel like messing with all that. I just wanted a simple, manual 1uz that was easy to work on. And it's pretty close lol
Thanks for all the support! If I can get a break from work I can go out there and knock the rest of the work out.

So I've been stupid busy at work. But my buddy Kyle managed to get the transmission mount welded up while I've been away. Friends are awesome!
Decided to use bracing to strengthen it a bit. We wanted to use angle or square tubing but the way it's setup doesn't really give you that option. This should suffice. Only time will tell!
Here it is finished and painted!
Also got this ordered and shipped. An Isis short shifter for the KA transmission. Compares to the b&m and is like less than half the price from Enjuku racing (Enjukuracing.com). Used it on a few of my friends cars and they feel awesome.
(can't wait to install it!)
I have the day off tomorrow. Gonna try and get this bolted up.
From how it's looking it seems like all we have left to do is make the cat deletes which are looking like a breeze, then running a clutch line, and bolting the under body back together. So pumped!
Thanks for looking!

Got out to the shop and was able to install my exhaust and see if she would start up! She did and she sounds amazing!
All that's left is a few misc things and getting a clutch line made. so pumped!

I have the day off tomorrow so I'm going to go and put some gas in it (ran out of gas from us running it to check all the exhaust work and getting all worked up over how it sounds) and run this clutch line. Hopefully me triple checking the measurements were right and it should be an easy install. Then all that's left is bleeding the clutch, adjusting my brake pedal, and putting on the front subframe so I can drive it! I will definately keep you guys updated and I'm sure we'll make a quick vid of it driving and all that.
Thanks guys!

So a few updates. Car drives. Pulls really well. Waitin on my friend to finish the first drive video.
If you can't tell. I don't like heat. I got my stainless clutch line made and decided to wrap it with some heat reflective tape. Wrapped the slave cylinder as well
Just driving her around now to get some miles on her and fix any loose ends. Going to weld the diff soon so I can start sliding with this chassis
First pic at the pump
Plenty more coming soon!

It's a lot peppier. Pulls really well and has awesome response. The gearing seems a bit shorter which feels amazing. I'm willing to bet I took about 400 pounds out. I love it lol.
Can't wait to get my welded and start sliding!
