The pics above are as it sat when I got home from work today. Items below AFTER pics....
Many changes planned for the comings months, but first things first....I wanted to get some clean on this afternoon:
Interior cleaned with Meguairs interior protectant
Leather hit with the first of multiple leather cleanings/conditionings.....It needs a whole bottle of conditioner lol
Glass cleaned inside and out
Headlights/driving lights/corner lamps polished up.....cleaned up surprisingly well
I'm usually the type to leave appearance stock and go for performance. I'm taking a different approach this time. My first plans are tinted windows, followed by wheels/tires. I'm leaning heavily toward a set of XXR 522 17's. I don't want more than a 17. Sidewall helps ride quality, and I appreciate that more than I once did lol.
It has a K&N adapted to the intake pipe. My first "mods" will be exhaust & a tune. I haven't decided if I'll go with headers or not.....it's highly likely though. There is just too much HP to be had to not do headers.
It is GREAT on the highway, but it leaves a bit to be desired down low. It's very sluggish. I'll either be looking for a Supra N/A diff or getting the torque converter restalled to ~2800-3200ish.......or both.
All in all, I'm pleased with the car. It's recently maintenanced, runs great, and I have well under $4K in it.

My thought would be to paint the interior It will look like new if done right... there should be a thread on here somewhere that will guide you in the right direction Have fun

I'm in for the pictures of the Beemer also. The M5 looks good from the picture. About the dash protectant, the dash prolly absorbed all the stuff you applied. Apply more and see what happens. Is that an Mississippi National Guard tag?

Thanks all. I'm not really looking to paint the interior, it's just a light tan....not worth it IMO. If it were black, I'd entertain the idea. I hit it with some more Meguairs protectant. It's better, but still not great. I also applied leather cleaner earlier this week, and I applied some conditione very liberally. I'm hoping that can help avoid any future worry of cracking.
I'm not in the guard. I'm from Mississippi. My friend, that I traded for the car, is in the guard. He actually just made it back from Afghanistan. We rode hom on the plates to avoid issues until we get the new tags in. I live in Olive Branch, grew up in Philadelphia, MS. He's in the greater Jackson, MS area.
I started washing the cars today......and my water hose busted . I'll clean them tomorrow if weather permits.
It looks like I'll be replacing the belt tensioner on the SC4 as soon as it comes in too :-/

I purchased the car new in 1991 and still own it. Just my experience.

More applications, and the dash looks much better.
The new brakes have made a huge difference.
Just finished installing a new serpentine belt and tensioner. It was a bit more of a PITA than I expected. It fixed the power steering whine and the annoying squeak.
I also found out that the "exhaust leak" that I purchased the car with was actually an improperly installed upper timing belt cover. Something in there was hitting. It has now been addressed.
The car now runs quite!!!!!!! WOOT!!!!!!!!!!

Well it developed a real exhaust leak after a couple days of driving in Memphis....imagine that. The junk roads around here are hell on an older car. My 91 M5 was fantastic when I bought it, and now it needs the entire front end redone.. Blah.....
I decided I was going to get out today and do some more free mods. Plans were to pull all three converters and gut them. I wanted more flow and a better, V8 sound.
After rounding off the first nut ad bolt I put closed end wrenches on, I decided it was time to call it a day. I've worked on many cars, and I know when it's time to walk away. It's 103* outside, and I don't need to get all dehydrated AND pissed off lol.
Now I'm looking around for local shops that will remove the converters and build a budget exhaust LOL
