Okay, I know this has been covered in other threads, I just would like some more feedback. I've redone the entire audio system in my 93 sc300 and currently have the stock sub removed with a 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect (sealed) in the trunk. It didn't sound good until I removed the stock sub.
Basically, I just need to know about installing a JL Audio 10ib4. I would like to hear from other people who have installed this what they think of it and how it will compare to the kappa perfect in there now. I would like to get rid of the box in the trunk and install the 10ib4 as long as I wouldn't lose too much sound quality.
Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks
Tim

Well, you are gonna lose sound quality- whether or not it is "too much" is up to debate. The JL Audio 10ib4 might be the best free-air for the SC, but it is still free-air, and it is hard to imagine any decent sealed box setup (much less one with a Perfect 10") not sounding noticeably tighter.
The JL Audio 10ib4 is a lot better than the stock sub, though. I'm sure you'll soon hear how much better it is in subsequent posts.
