Carbon Flash Metallic Paint and Restore Thread
Hello everyone, when i first started redoing all of my paint i started a Paint Build thread named "Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl SC300, Paint Build Thread" Where i redid the whole engine bay. From sand blasting to welding all the holes to painting it. I never got around to doing the exterior due to being so busy. I am very happy that happend, just a few weeks ago at work we repainted a Mini Cooper the color of the rarest 2012 Camaro ZL1 "Carbon Flash Metallic". After seeing the color you just get so amazed.....
For the Start
All 3 of my toys at work since we trailerd my Lexus and i picked my bike up on lunch time.
The Engine Bay was previously repaint as stated.
I have already been working on my car restoring it so i kinda start this out in the middle of things.
Finish prepping Passenger Rear Quarter for Primer
Finish Driver's Rear Quarter Patch then Rust Proof
Restore Roof
Check alignment of front Fenders if ok remove, if not fix after Restore
Remove Hood, patch nozzel holes after Restore
Reassemble Front for fitment of Front Bumper
Smooth Front Bumper fog light patches and enforce backing
Fit and Modify Side Skirts
Fit and Modify Rear Lip, single exhaust
Purchase front and rear Vossen CV7 rims for Fitment, modify fenders as needed
Remove all Parts, Prime

at Same time have interior wood trim painted same as exterior

Reupholster Headliner and Arm Rests
Finish Dyeing Leather
Modify Battery Wiring with new Terminals and 1/0ga to 2x 2ga splitters(cleaner)
Purchase new Rear Window Trim
Purchase new Windshield Trim
Fit Flow Plates and have Painted
Adjust TPS with Voltmeter better(Had setup for aem ems)
3.5" Vband Throttle Body and Intercooler piping together
Chrome Throttle Body after vband
Finalize Hurst Shifter
Mock up Underbody Flow Pan for Front Bumper
Wire Wideband o2
Wire Toggle Switches in ash tray
Wire Fuel Pump relay kit
Run -3an Vacuum Lines
Purchase set of 97 Taillights
Purchase 97 Grill
Purchase Recaro Seat Brackets
All in all , i hope I can inspire others and if anyone ever has a question about how to do something or an idea or even opinion on how i could make my SC look better please let me know!

thanks trancuongv and cmh!
Thanks megamax, the reason why i chose auto is for drag racing purposes, i was trying to make the lowest hp 9 second sc. I am from the Burlington Area, kinda by Lake Geneva. See you at the StanceWI meet!
Gezz scoobySC3, you are the man saving a sc like that. Then you aswell I will make sure i atleast get something closer to finish everyday.
Thank You lilSCsteve, you guys help me stay motivated.
Progress today, I dropped off the arm rests and headliner at a local automotive upholstery shop. Tomorrow I will be bringing another shipment of speaker grills, visors, and rear seats hopefully to be able to get them to match the front Recaro's.

I wish i had deep pockets lol, i started building all of this while working at a grocery store making 8.50 then working up to manager in training making 10 dollars an hour. I was hired at the auto body shop i work at now about a year and 3 months ago but still at the same pay because my knowledge was limited. Now I have worked up and just recently started making more. Just to show that with the right amount of motivation and luck with finding cheap parts(classifieds) building a fun machine can be done. Just don't expect a super socal life. :/
